Concept
A valve is a device that regulates, controls, or controls the flow of a liquid (gas, liquid, liquefied solid, or slurry) by opening, closing, or partially obstructing various passages. Valves are technical accessories, but are often discussed as a separate category. In an open valve, fluid flows in the direction from higher pressure to lower pressure.
Flange face is an important part of piping systems and mechanical equipment, where it is used to connect and fasten different parts together. Flanges are usually located at the ends of pipes or equipment and have holes for mounting with bolts. The main function of a flange is to create a tight connection between parts, allowing liquid or gas to flow through the system without leakage.
Corrosion of valves and flanges
Corrosion of valves and flanges is a common and serious problem. These pipe joints are susceptible to spot corrosion and crevice corrosion, which are the main causes of pipe damage. Normally, to minimize or eliminate risks (leakage and resulting problems (such as fire, explosion, environmental pollution, etc.), one must stop the operation of these pipelines. There are many effective anti-corrosion solutions but they have not been widely applied due to construction difficulties and budget constraints.
S2S Plid Tape anti-corrosion coating solution for valves and flanges
S2S Plid Tape, also known as anti-corrosion tape, is an industrial wax-based tape impregnated with high-performance S2S corrosion inhibitor, providing long-term protection of metal surfaces up to 10 years. Five years, the product can be used to protect metal surfaces from corrosion phenomena, especially valve and flange surfaces.
This is an important part of the maintenance and preservation of equipment, especially in the chemical, oil and gas industries, where metals are susceptible to corrosion due to exposure to corrosive chemicals or seawater environments.
How to use anti-corrosion wrap for valves and flanges:
Surface Cleaning
Clean the surface: First, you need to clean and remove any grease, dirt or moisture on the metal surface. This ensures that the bandage will stick well and work effectively.
Cut the wrap into pieces:
Cut the bandage into lengths long enough to cover the entire area you want to protect. Make sure the wrap is large enough to fully cover the valve and bag surface.
How to wrap wrap wrap:
Cut the S2S Plip tape into small pieces, fill the gap between the two flanges to the point where it cannot be filled anymore
Place the wrap on the metal surface and begin wrapping it tightly around. Make sure there are no air layers or gaps during the wrapping process.
Inspection and maintenance: Regularly inspect the anti-corrosion tape to ensure that it is still working effectively. If you see any signs of cracking, damage or loss of performance, replace it with a new copy.
